Pet Food Coach is about love for pets and a sincere desire to improve the length and quality of their lives. Our goal is optimal nutrition and the service we offer is the culmination of years of research.

Why Pet Food Coach?

Located in beautiful Central Oregon, Pet Food Coach makes food and treats for dogs from fresh, real food ingredients. We source all of our ingredients from local (mostly Oregon, always USA) producers, practice minimal processing and make products with simple ingredients anyone can understand.

At Pet Food Coach we take a more personal approach to making our food, it is a dog by dog approach.  To start, we like to meet and get to know each of our dog customers. We offer a subscription service that takes all of the hassles out of feeding your pup.  Once we understand the nutritional needs and preferences of your pup we can custom prepare his food on a month to month basis including a custom portioning service that really makes it clean and easy to properly feed.  We make and package our products in a commercial kitchen and deliver them directly to our customers. This approach cuts out retail markups and allows us to use the best quality ingredients possible while maintaining a competitive price point.

Our Process

Our goal for this business is to create excellent quality real food products for dogs and to give clarity to our pet food making process & ingredient sourcing.  Sourcing quality ingredients, suitable for making dog food, has been the most challenging part of bringing this business to market. Toward that goal, we have invested a lot of time and effort and we are very proud of the results we have achieved.  We believe that food is food and our dogs benefit just as much as we do from eating a diet made from minimally processed fresh whole food ingredients. One could argue that they benefit even more than we do since they already have a heartbreakingly short lifespan, doesn’t it make sense to use high-quality food to try to foster a longer healthier life?  Socrates said, “Let food be thy medicine”, we say “Let Food be THEIR medicine!”.  Read more about our process.
